Playing at Regent, it's 1795 and as the Chinese I have Modern Armor .... map is 2 large continents; I completely control one, having destroyed the Indians, Japanese, Greeks and Egyptians .....invaded the 2nd continent while at war with Persia, and just as I was mopping them up (they were dowm to about 4 cities), that's when the vultures i.e. Babylon, England and Germany declared war on Persia also so they could feed on the Persian carcass ..... what is annoying is that I had asked these pri_cks several times to join me in an alliance when Persia was being obnoxious, but nooooo, and then they all form MPPs among themselves and attack Persia ..... now thanks mainly to my glorious Chinese horde, Persia is history, and I am in the process of consolidating my gains, with Germany, England, and Babylon to the West and North, respectively (have borders with all three) ........ I am the most powerful civ, score is 800 pts ahead of England (closest 2nd), and far ahead on power scale, but --- I need time to get more military moved to 2nd continent since the three of them combined are stronger than me there .... in the meantime I didn't have computers (so no mech inf to support my modern armor), but they all do, and they have lots of mech inf ....... so, while I mobilize my economy for all out war i.e. build more modern armor, use Leonardo to upgrade existing tanks, then move large force to 2nd continent, etc, in meantime I traded Synthetic Fibers to England, and in return the witch gave me Computers, some luxury item, and get this - 455 gold per turn! ........ ok, so I basically gave them modern armor, and they gave me mech inf, but I did it because I think they would have gotten it anyway while I was mobilizing, so I figured why not get something for it ..... now I think it's best to wait awhile, build up military on 2nd continent, and see if can isolate and fight them one at a time - otherwise need to take on all 3 at once - but when I am ready ..... am at Monarchy, and can probably win with points if just keep status quo i.e. no more wars (not much fun though - world domimnation is so much fun ), though again the witch or one of her buddies might sneak a spaceship in on me since I think they are usingf democracy and will outpace me scientifically ..... anybody have any suggestions .......... long live the Horde, Fear The Khan - HE will rise again !!!!!!!!! :die:

no civ will want an alliance with you against another civ if you are not already at war with that civ. commonly overlooked. in my experience if you have the money other civs won't refuse an offer to join you in your war vs enemy civ.

I was already at war with Persia - they are just jealous, don't like me, don't trust, whatever ........ that's ok, I'll deal with each of them in due course ...........

Why don't you try to pit them against each other while you rebuild your glorious horde. The best way to keep an enemy off your back is to get them on someone else's.

thx ...... maybe I might just research fission and then do Manhattan, and then drop science to zero to get max income and then build/buy max ICBM force and Tactical nukes, then nuke them all into oblivion w/one massive blow against all three at once - in the meantime though will kiss their arses and pretend that we can be best friends/bosom buddies .......

well, the English witch declared war on me, just out of the clear blue, and of course, her German lackeys joined in ..... then Babylon, whom I had an MPP with, came in on my side ..... the AI was clever on this one, snookered me on this 455 gpt for Synthectic Fibers in exchange for Computers, then turned around and started a war with me before I ever saw any of the gold ........ her civ is less than half my civ's size for chrissake!!!! ..... I was so annoyed that I forgot to save the game, and am now back a turn or two at my last save before the witch took me for a ride ...... so I got to do it all over again, and I now offered the Syn Fibers to Babylonians (my MPP buddies) even-up for Computers, and they took it ..... then, I talked to the witch about it, and of course she offers me all of her gold on hand plus a large gpt, and I told her in game language to "shove it"!!! (felt good, too! ).... also, I sent all my spare cavalry to the border and shot--up all of the railroads so they can't move in 1st, then declare war .... I'm hoping she'll hold off starting a war for a while, esp. now since I didn't giver her modern armor, but we'll see ...... meanwhile I am mobilizing, and if she does hold off, later I plan to provoke her so she starts something, then we'll see, heh heh .....
only question is, would I rather nuke the witch and her German lackeys into oblivion, or slowly crush them, razing city after city - ha! .... next move is hers

If they have infantry, use the modern armor and crush them. If they have mech infantry, nuke em. Make an airport in one of the Persian cities and send about 100 MA there. When you are ready, nuke them and attack them all at once. You won't lose if you have nukes on your side.
