Warfare the unorthodox way

I have an unusual way to conduct my wars, and was hoping for any comments you may have:
I ALWAYS wait till I have every technology in the book, then I give them as gifts to every other civ (whom I have not wiped out, but have been dying to, for millenia). This is to allow them to get a half-decent military since its a bit like bullying, blowing the crap out of a Pikeman or Musketeer with your cute little Howitzer. I like a good war.:flamedevi :soldier:
I then launch my spaceship, switch to Fundamentalism, stockpile units and when the ship reaches Alpha Centauri, I declare war on everyone. Ahh, lovely...
Now, I would just like to point out that I realise many comments will be about the tech-giving. But they too are welcome.

That is a bit strange.

but its boring fighting against a rubbish enemies using phalanxs against your tanks.

i like to conduct war in ancient times not many people have city walls and thus units like elephanes and crusaders can reck havok and the huts can be very useful. Argubly u have the best chance of success because the enemy r weak and u can take citites relatively easierly.

Ah, well, I like my Nukes/ Subs/ Battleships/ Marines, etc. That's why I wait. I sometimes, but rarely, go on a kill the world quickly spree. I once did it by 520BC. My God that was hard..

Sounds like a different version of fun -- I may try it some time. I ususally end up with half of my "battles" being purchases.

Ah yes the great bribing race...The computer rarely defends well against diplomats and spies...Mainly becaus ethey don't go for a democracy quickly enough.

But it is amazing how fast they will switch to Democracy after you have bribed a few cities

If I make the quick charge for mono... I love destroying the world with hordes of Vet Crusaders. If they have pikeman, you will lose some, but vast numbers are unstoppable in the early times
