I chopped 3 forests at once near a city (before Mathematics and Market), thus adding 90 hammers to the build queue. On the next turn, here's what happened to the 90 hammers:
  • 20 went towards completing the Work Boat I was building
  • 40 became build overflow
  • 30 became cash (that is, my treasury went from 0 to 31 when I was running at +1 cash)
I'm pretty sure this is a bug, but please correct me if this is intentional behavior. In this particular game, I was thrilled, because I was really strapped for cash, and I couldn't build Wealth yet... but it just doesn't seem right!

I definitely had not abandoned building anything, and I hadn't started on any Wonders. I double-checked. Anyway, I didn't see any messages like "You cannot continue building xyz."

The attached .CivWarlordsSave uses a mod called "jrayUGH". It is unaltered gameplay and does not change the savegame file structure. So, to reproduce, you can just create an empty mod called jrayUGH and load the game into it. (Or you can install my jrayUGH mod from the link in my sig).

FYI, I did test this with an empty jrayUGH, to rule out the possibility that the mod is the problem, even though the screenshots have jrayUGH in them.

Here is a series of screenshots for the turn when I finished the chops:

And here's how things looked on the next turn:

its an undocumented "feature" of warlords (or the 2.08 patch) - previously the overflow was capped at the build cost, i.e. in you case the work boat cost 40:hammers: so that production overflow was capped at 40:hammers: and anything above was lost. now anything above is cashed...

Ah, interesting! Thanks for explaining. This opens up a whole new strategy... mua ha ha!

BTW markets dont do anything for your production, i think you mean forge

Oh, I think I meant to say Currency (the tech that enables building of Markets), since that's where you can start building Wealth. I was just ruling out the scenario where I could have gotten the cash by building Wealth from the chops.
