warlords/bts expansions

havent played the series in awhile, too many of those "life events". I am ready to get back into the swing of things with civ 4. I knew there were 2 expansions but never bought them. i noticed warlords is only packaged with the basic game and bts is by itself.

Should i buy the entire gold package to gain the use of warlords or just by bts? Thanks for the help

If you already own Civlization IV, then there is really no point in getting Warlords. Beyond the Sword has all the content Warlords has, except for the scenarios. If you want to play the official Warlords scenarios, you must have Warlords.
Other than that, there is no point in getting Warlords.

Wait. So you're saying I can buy CivIV "Beyond the Sword" package and get everything. I don't need the original Civ4 package to run it? That's the best news I've had all day...
and I don't want the Warlords scenarios, I want the BTS mod scenarios!!!

If you already own Civ4 Vanilla, just get BtS and you're set.

I might be playing Civ3 for a while longer... I thought you were implying BTW could standalone.

I think you can get them CIV4+BtS fairly cheap? They're not that new anymore.

In my area Vanilla is $20, as is the BtS expansion pack. So $40 isn't that bad for a game, expecially considering the mileage it gets.

Of course the local walmart is always sold out of vanilla so you have to get the $30 gold edition.

I REFUSE to buy gold. I want BTS and all its mods! I'll have to check my WalMart... and if that doesn't work we can always try Amazon. I wondor what the prices are there...

I couldn't find BtS at Wal-Mart, so if that doesn't work check out other stores like Best Buy or Target (both good for me).

you cannot buy just the warlords expansion by itself anymore. I have looked, it is on amazon for 34ish but why buy just that if you can get golf for $5 more.

Bought a game I really wanted on eBay once and the entire next week was awful.
