Warlords Bug

I have found a bug in my new copy of Warlords.

When I attempt to select the Otomons, I get a CTD.

All other new civs work great. I am wondering though....have played against them successfully? I didn't think to try that till this morning (and now I am at work).

I also have a bug in the multiplayer game. When playing hotseat with my son, the toggle resources button has to be turned on again every turn. It is not a huge deal, but it is annoying.

I had the same problem, but wasn't sure if it was because my computer is getting outdated or not. Glad that it's not just me...

I am no expert in such things but I would imagine that there is something wrong with the file, not an issue of old computers. Is anyone able to play the Ottoman?

I've had the same issue. I even got a good way into a new game as the Zulus and when i made contact with the Ottomans the game crashed on me. It does the same thing whenever I try and pick the Ottomans as my civ. I think it has something to do with the files for the face. I'm going to try re-installing Warlords and see if it fixes it. It is strange that several people are repoting the same bug though.

I posted this in the general thread as well, and some report no issues at all. Hopefully there is an easy way of fixing this.

I tried re-installing but the problem remains. Interesting that this isn't affecting everyone. It may be a hardware compadibility issue. Yet the rest of the game runs fine...

now this is intersting. I just had a thought and installed Warlords on my work computer. Naturally this does NOT have a good video card on it, nor does it have a ton of RAM, but it is only 2 months old.

In this case the ottomans load just fine. Perhaps it is an issue with old cards? Just strange as I never encountered any trouble with Civ IV.

I have GeForce 4, MX and it crashes eveytime I pick
Ottomans. it's so sad cause Ottamans were the one
of the main reasons I bought the game.

You can start as Ottomans using the "Custom Game". I am not sure how far you can get, though.

I tested it and I have the same problem

I seem to be able to play as the Ottomans only with custom game as it crashes overwise. When the game starts the diplomacy graphics are missing i.e. a blank white screen but I can just hit enter and continue.

if the Ottomans are in my game the moment I come in contact with them the game crashes

None (or to be more specific, Intel 82852/82855). But other leaderheads work flawlessly

I found a new bug in the hotseat game. After the discovery of Calender(centers the world map) the zoom on the game needs to be re-adjusted for all players every turn. It is iether way close or way far every turn. It is a total pain, and the brainiacs at Take 2 refuse to admit it is a bug, even though it only happens turning hotseat games. They think it is a problem with my system.

the ottomans problem is happening because the art files of Mehmed are corrupt. I checked it. But if u did not encounter the problem....i guess ur files were intact for some reason. Can you please make your copy of the art files available on this site, so that we can download and try them?? it would be really helpful. this is where u will find them:

[YOUR CIV4 FOLDER]\Warlords\Assets\Art\Leaderheads\MehmedII

please copy the entire MehmedII directory, so that we dont miss anything,

Yeah, my wife and I play hotseat games on her machine (since it won't run on mine), and find that problem very annoying.

We've also noticed it happens after you found the first wonder (if you get it before calendar, that is)
