My first post to these forums :)

Im not sure if the following is a bug or a "feature", but it really affected game play in a negative way...Playing out-of-the-box version of Warlords and am not sure if this bug existed in vanilla civ or not as the situation has never come up before...

In a direct ip mp game, I invaded a human player by landing about 20 units next to his city. The next turn, my units had magically moved to a different tile!! They still had all movement points so it wasn't like i accidentally moved them.

To be sure i hadn't done anything dumb, i ignored the problem and moved my units next to his city again. Again my units moved the next turn. Ok, so something is weird i thought, so i fortified them. Sure enough, next turn they moved again!!

Later I found out that the player was simply moving a spy onto my stack of units. It seems there is a problem with how the computer handles spies and enemy units since two units from warring civs cannot occupy the same tile under normal circumstances.

I have seen this behavior in other situations that make sense. For example, my units and an ai's occupy the same space...i declare war on ai and my units get "bumped". I can accept this, but a spy should not be able to do this since i would NEVER be able to attack a smart player's cities!!

Anyone else experienced this? Also, I apologize if this has already been posted...i've searched the forums and have been unable to find a similar problem.

I have seen this while playing the Total Realism mod. For reasons I can't quite determine now, I assumed at the time that an Assassin unit was involved.
