Hello, I'm thinking of getting the expansions, but I wonder how they work together. Both of them obviously add different things to the game, but how to make it so that I have "full" game? On the other hand can I go back to playing the game with just one expansion pack. I'm kind of confused.

Uhm just skip Warlords. BTS has all the leaders + more.

Go to Amazon and order the complete edition for $40ish. They have free two day shipping. You get both expansions and colonization. I think the sexiest thing about it is the no CD check.

This is a good idea actually. You want Warlords only for the scenarios. I say just get BTS and call it. :goodjob:

This - or to expand a bit:
A Civ4 + BtS install only differs from a Civ4 + Warlords + BtS install in one point: The Warlords scenarios.

If you only get Civ4 + Warlords, you miss out the BtS scenarios AND the core game additions from BtS.

So get BtS, it gives you all core game additions - and most user created mods require BtS as well (and some are really great).

Cheers, LT.

Complete is best. It's $40, comes with Vanilla, Warlords, BtS AND Colonization. Plus you don't need the disk in the drive after installing.

What he said.

My usual answer to this is all you miss out on by skipping Warlords is the scenarios, and among them Chinese Unification is the only one worth replaying.

I'd go Civ complete if you can afford it. If you go that route, I would read the Colonization sub-forum and patch or mod it before you play COL the first time.
