Do a full backup of your entire civ3 folder!!!!

The install will overwrite anything that has been changed, especially the civ3mod.bic!!!!!!!!

So if you have changed anything you can still get it from the backup folder no sweat!

LOL my backup was about 2.5 gigs because I had so many uncompressed saved games.

Too late :(

My bro will prolly be completely mad at me...
Unless I can somehow try and make the exact same .BIC file again. Which I prolly won't :(

Will this not take up loads of valuable space on my computer?

Was I meant to do this for v1.17 and v1.21?

Baleog: it will, but after a few tries you will have found otu what you need to keep so you can delete it again. I was very happy when i still had a full backup of 1.16 when i found out 1.17 sucked :D

but the 1.16 one died two days after 1.21, becasue I found I didn't need it anymore.......

I also learned the hardway but at least I made a backup of my stuff not too long ago, but I actually just started editing the civlopedia.txt around and didn't have a backup of that file since I have been editing that and that me least favorite file to edit. Oh well, but you are right, back that directory up!

CIVII file system was best...why Civ had to become an arcade game is beyond me...

I wont be playing C3 until it is worth playing.

Don't hold your breath waiting. Firaxis will not change the main problems with the game, even though they have after nine months, gotten rid of most bugs and given us a real editor.

Why they insist on keeping this Culture Flipping garbage is beyond me.
