Do a full backup of your entire civ3 folder!!!!

The install will overwrite anything that has been changed, especially the civ3mod.bic!!!!!!!!

So if you have changed anything you can still get it from the backup folder no sweat!

Baleog: it will, but after a few tries you will have found otu what you need to keep so you can delete it again. I was very happy when i still had a full backup of 1.16 when i found out 1.17 sucked

but the 1.16 one died two days after 1.21, becasue I found I didn't need it anymore.......

I also learned the hardway but at least I made a backup of my stuff not too long ago, but I actually just started editing the civlopedia.txt around and didn't have a backup of that file since I have been editing that and that me least favorite file to edit. Oh well, but you are right, back that directory up!

It is best not to edit the Civ3Mod.bic save as something else.
If you don’t have enough room to back up the entire thing just backup the things you changed.

Don't hold your breath waiting. Firaxis will not change the main problems with the game, even though they have after nine months, gotten rid of most bugs and given us a real editor.

Why they insist on keeping this Culture Flipping garbage is beyond me.
