Water walking

How is it supposed to be used now? You cast it, move onto water, next turn spell expires and everyone drowns?

Seriously, what was wrong with the original spell to have it changed like ... that?
 
What was wrong? It applied to the caster only, that is what was wrong...

Did you actually try to use it? ;)

It allows units to enter water square. The worst that can happen is that they can not enter another water square next turn. And then be teleported back to land.
But you can cast it again allowing your army to waterwalk further. And yes, you can autocast it. So I do not see anything wrong with my approach.
 
Hmm, my main beef was that I couldn't make ww flesh golems when playing ilians :sad:
 
give a hunter water walking (duration 1) then upgrade it to ranger, voila you get permanent water walking ranger :D
 
So, would that work with any unit and any duration spell i.e. upgrading a hasted unit will give it permanent haste? I can't remember that ever happening, but I never really paid attention.

Or is it some weird thing concerning the hunter-ranger upgrade and water walking only?
