Legislation has passed placing control of the sliders with the Senate. As VP / President of the Senate I am directed to post the Senate's slider instructions. I call on our citizens to post their views on what the slider settings should be so the Senate can formulate appropriate instructions!

Thank you. :D

Keeping our Sci Rate at 10% or 20% both give us Mathemetics in 30 turns at 4gpt income. Anything higher at this point reduces gpt income. I would suggest leaving it at 10% until the game allows us to reduce the number of turns it will take to achieve Mathematics by moving the Sci Rate slider to 90%. Normally, at the point in the game I just mentioned, putting the Sci Rate slider at 100% is equal to or worse (because of gpt income) than 90%. Monitoring of the situation by the President and others will tell us when that point of the game occurs. I normally don't worry about this until I have 50g in my bank, but as we are the French, this point could be extended out quite a bit further.

Science rate needs to be the minimum to keep our research going - I doubt that we'll be able to do any better in the next 10 turns considering what we're researching.

What about the entertainment slider though? I think that we only get 2 citizens born content on Monarch so we may need some adjustment here to keep our people happy. Set the slider at the minimum to prevent disorder and check as the population changes.

:D

Well my save shows the Science Rate at 20%. This is one reason it needs to be monitored. Even if 10% and 20% now show the same results, this may change.

Since we have started on min science, it should be kept at the lowest rate which generates the same number of turns.

If population grows such that an entertainer or lux is needed, try a scientist instead. If a scientist allows our citizens to not be unhappy, then set science at 0% and we'll still get the same number of turns.

At pop 5 we will have to choose between an entertainer or higher lux. Using the lux slider will let us keep shield production up -- just MM to hills to keep pop from growing any more until we need it to.

I would advocate keeping the science slider at the minimum necessary to move forward in research. Due to the unfortunate visit of Bulgars to our fair city, we had to boost to 20% to keep research going. Soon we will be able to back down to 10%

As for Luxury, depending on our build queue, we may need to empower the DP to use up to 10% luxury to the population in line. Hopefully our search to the south may find some gems in the jungle (there seem to be white edges at the bottom of our map).

When the city is size 1; 20% upto 100% makes no difference in research-time, but 10% means no research.

When the city is size 2, 10% is possible. 100% still doesn't increase the speed.

The slider-settings is up to the senate. I do request however to post in the instructions a line which allows me (the president) to up-or-down lux or up-or-down science if our city grows to a size in which the city gets unhappy, or that research-time will shorten if we up science. The details of that are up to you.

Well I dont see Noldoden but these are the final results becuase it seems everyone here is posting the same thing over and over again.

The slider will be decreased to 10% on Science. 90% on Taxes.

We will put luxury up to 10% when we see the city will revolt next turn. If doesn't work for some reason, we use the Scientist instead of the entertainer.

Queue should be warrior warrior to help quell any chances of rebbellion.
