I think we need to reevaluate our ranking of Greece. Without provocation they attacked our very good friends the Iroquois. They dragged India into the conflict with their Mutual Protection Pact - an agreement that was supposed to support peace!! Then they destroyed several Iroquois cities, murdering hundreds of thousands of Iroquois civilians and enslaving almost as many. There is also a high probability that they then massacred these slaves to prevent them from being rescued by Iroquois troops.
I say we must react strongly and decisively to show the world our abhorence of these wicked and evil deeds.
Agreed. Greece is moved down to a Suspect Nation for this turn but will be re-evaluated by public opinion for the next.
Rome also committed attrocities by razing Rhodes. The FA is unsure of the motives for this action. Was it in the name of the fallen Iroquois' citizens or did this act bring them down to the Greek level? FA proposes the former, but will watch carefully if they get carried away.
According to my Roman sources, they entered the war specifically to avenge the slaughtered Iroquois and Chinese civilians. The Roman atrocity was a terrible mistake stemming from stiff civilian resistance to their occupation and loss of control over the enraged Roman troops. The officers and NCO's involved have been brought up on charges and removed from the theatre.
