Weird Crash

Okay so I have a problem. When I'm playing Civilization 3 theres a weird bug where the game crashes whenever I try talk with other civilizations that I'm at war with. I own civilization 3, none of the expasion packs and I've installed the most recent patch. Can someone please help me?

Have you tryed reinstalling the game?

As an aside, if you do this, remeber to keep your save by copying it to your deskop or someother seperate place if you want to keep it.

Thank you. I've reinstalled and it's working fine now. I always overlook the obvious.
