Weird main menu

I remember someone had this problem awhile back, but i never understood how to solve it...so can somebody explain it to me?

When you open , the menu options like...

• Hall of Fame
• Preferences
• Exit

etc...appear like this...

• KING0 of the CIVNOUN1 killed in DATE2
• CIVNOUN0 0:captures:capture a princess in DATE1
• PRINCESS of CIVO rescued in DATE1

Probably a labels.txt issue.

SO... any clue on how to solve it?

Without seeing a specific instance of the problem, no.

What I would do is back up my saves/mods, and reinstall. Repatch.
