Well, I can't believe it, over the last couple of years I've really tried to get into Civ 3 but to no avail, the game simply doesn't seem to have a soul...

So I discovered I had an old copy of ToT and installed that then read a few threads re Cedric's upgrades and "Downgraded" ToT 1.1 to FW 2.7.81 and I'm lovin Civ all over again!

The only thing i'd love to get sorted out is that I don't seem to have the animated graphics for either when the wonders are built or more importantly the audio/graphics when I consult the High Counsel, gotta love that Elvis voice... I guess this is because they are not on the ToT disc?

Is it possible to download these bits anywhere and if so could someone give a "dummies" guide as to exactly how/where they need to be installed, i always get that bit wrong!

Welcome back, nevetsnnub. I'm not going to ask what your nickname is based on.

The wonders videos are in a folder called VIDEOS which should be right off the main Civ2 folder (/CIV2/VIDEOS) on the CD like in Classic and MGE. The default installer does not move them to the hard drive even if you choose "run from HD". If ToT does not have them it sounds more like an "expansion pack" than a full game. It does not cost much (less than $10, usually) to get a full CD from eBay or Amazon.

Humph......... well I checked the contents of my ToT Cd and although there is a video folder on it, it only contains the vids relating to the opening sequences of the game, nothing re in game wonders or advisors!

I guess It must be that these vids only come with Civ 2 and not ToT?
