I'll start with myself. I am Meleager, part of the civ3 MTDG team MIA. I got civ4 about a month ago, my Civ4 multiplayer experience is currently limited to playing my brother. I live in Brisbane, Australia (GMT +10).

Well since I seem to be the newbie...

I havent had a chance to play any multiplayer. I have had the game for about 6 weeks and have been playing various AIs in order to fully learn the game. I am pretty good at combined arms and looking at the AIs troop movements to pinpoint when and where the AI will attack. I know its different with humans but I think we can pick up patterns in much the same way on here.

I have lots of time to discuss and make plans but few long periods of time to play the turn nor would I want the responsiblity.

I have a wife, 2 kids( 4 y.o. and 2 y.o.) and I run my own wood working business while staying home with my kids. I am hoping you guys can teach me the ropes.

the biggest change with multiplayer is diplomacy, in our civ3 multi team dg, the FA advisor had enormous amounts of work, while in the single player dg the foreign affairs advisor had little work...
Diplomacy is key, especially because of the odd number of teams in this game

also it looks like we will be put on pangea, meaning early wars are going to be very common

I'm Ybbor, From Team MIA, I have served as team captain/UN rep two times. I got civ4 for christmas have been doing fairly well, and play on nobel. I have no multiplayer expierence.

I have just one thing to say about civ4: catapults.

EDIT: I live in chicago, GMT -6

Im BCLG from TNT structure at TNT is fairly loose with only one person really doing anything of any importance so i cant really say ive got tonnes of experience but we have just come out of a war which has taught me stuff about fighting a human war, ive played MP a few times(mainly against friends) generally i play on noble or above and have had civ4 for a few months now.

BTW, I play on prince but am ready to go up to monarch.

Hi Guys :wavey: im Robi from Team Doughnut. I served as Foreign Affairs Minister and am currently in my 3rd term as President. Most of my experience has come from playing MP games along with my PBEM experience with Doughut. As with BCLG i've had a chance to gain insight into fighting a war with pbem, but i was on the opposite side :). Unfortunately my civ4 experience is limited as the game had an issue with my graphics card, however thats all sorted now and i've completed three games on the lower level and i am currently playing one on noble. I agree with Black_Hole, diplomacy is a tough gig in MTDG, and with 5 teams in this one theres going to be a lot of scrambling to not be the odd one out. Thats about it really, so lets have some fun and kick a few backsides along the way.

Hi, I'm the newbie that would get booted from most fan sites. I've bought every Civ and expansion since I originally got Civ I in '97. I pre-ordered and got the special edition of cIV, and since I had just bought a top, top, top of the line computer in Novermber I've had zero problems with my game.
Now to the bad things: I've never played MP before, because I like playing on the lower levels and just whooping up on the computer. I'll admit my dark secret, I've never beaten the game over Noble. But, to be fair, I have fun playing on Noble and don't play many games above that level.
For those of you that don't know, my icon is the old symbol for the Milwaukee Brewers. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin(CST-America)and live and die for that team. About three days a week I have to work in another city, so I may disapear for a couple days at a time.
