The highest I've ever lost at is 99.7%. I remember, because I lost a 500-something experience GG unit.

99.9%.

A more interesting thread would be "what's your longest combat winning streak?" There have been games where I won 7 straight battles in the 75-90 range.

Once I lost a 99% chance of winning. I was so mad I went to the worldbuilder and replaced my unit only to lose it again trying to kill the same unit!

This what should happen if you lose at 99% again.
-:wow:--:aargh:

This is what you should do about it.
--:eek2:-:smug:-......:bump:.......:nuke:-:D

Long time player, first time poster. I've just been playing a game that almost made me hit the roof. Playing the Koreans on Noble, doing well built the great wall and the oracle, ahead of everyone else technologically, until the Incas attack suddenly and take a city with mediocre fortifications (although it should have been enough mathematically). The war is going on and the first time I lose a axeman in the forest to a chariot I say ok, bad luck. With a strength promotion the tile bonus my strength is a little less than 8, and if the chariot had two strength promotions it would be about 5 strength. It could happen, but it's bad luck. But it kept happening, I turned the game off in disgust after I had lost 15 straight chariot attacking wooded axeman (there are a good deal of woods between us) battles. That's simply not possible.

Welcome to the forums socratesocks!!

BTW, Chariots get a 100% boost when attacking axemen.

Sooooo:
Axeman 5str + 50% tile +10% combat 1 -100%(attacked by chariot) = 5 x 0.60 = 3
Chariot 4 (no promotions) vs Axeman 3

Of course, if the chariot has combat 1, it's 4.4 vs. 3
and combat 2 (proposed in your post) it's Chariot 4.8 vs. Axeman 3
Not to mention the possibility of a shock chariot which would be chariot 4.4 vs. axeman 1.75

EDITED TO CORRECT TILE DEFENSE

I don't recall ever losing with better than 95% odds.

Nobody will beat this one. ;)

I have matched that many times over....

I lost alot of Bombers and Battleships to Phalanxes and Musketmen back in Civ II.

In a rare battle btw my cannon and enemy near death longbow, my cannon lost to a 100% combat odd battle. It's the rounding error in the BUFFY mod.

In BtS don't chariots have a 100% bonus vs. axemen?
