What are your computer's specs?

I'm running it on a P2-350, Win98, 192 megs ram, Voodoo3 graphics card, and a AudioPCI 64V sound card. The game runs just fine for Standard size maps, the longest wait I have between turns is about 10 seconds or so in the Modern Age with the map fully settled. I haven't tried any larger map yet since Standard is sized almost perfectly for me at this point.

I do have some game instability from the older hardware (neither Voodoo3 nor the soundcard were made with DirectX 8 in mind, with the Voodoo I'm using 3rd party drivers) but it's not major, about 1 crash every 15-20 hours of game play.

I have an AMD 900MGz, 128 MB of memory, 30 GB hard drive, Windows ME and I don't know about anything else. :crazyeye:

The game runs great (knock on wood). :satan: New games load quickly and as far as I can remember, I've never had crash in Civ3.

AMD Athlon XP 1800+ processor
256 megs PNY PC2700 DDR 2.0 CAS

Soltek SL-75DRV4 Purple Ray edition Mb feat. KT266A chipset.
Voodoo5 5500 AGP 2x 64mb Video
AC'97 sound.
Windows XP 2002 Professional

And lemme tell you... its running like liquid silk. I've never experienced the computer taking a long time. *grins*

256 MB SDRAM
GeForce 2 Go!
Windows ME ::groan::

Dell Dimension 4100
1 GHz PIII
256 MB SDRAM
TNT2
Windows 2000 Professional

Perfectly fine on both with about a 10 sec. game loading time.

Pentium 4 1.8 GHz
256 MB RAM
ATI Radeon 64 MB Video
Windows XP Professional

I always play on huge maps .. 16 opponents.
The longest wait I have had was about 5 - 10 seconds in the modern era waiting for all my 100 + captured workers to do their automation.

Dell lat. c800
1Ghz PIII
512MB
32MB G.C.
Windows 2000 Prof.
15" uxga (cant stand tiny monitors)
Virtually no trouble or crashes since 1.29

PII 350, 128Mb, 16Mb Matrox Millenium G400 Dualhead, 19" Iiyama, XP Pro.

Civ III runs fine on standard map, 8 civs - max. 5-10 secs during Modern Era. Never had one crash under any patch. I play with all animations on, and there is no problem there.

Amd Duron 800 - 192 Mb RAM - Radeon 32.

Game is smooth enough, and the interval between turns is tolerable on large maps - about 30 secs depending on what's going on.

I do get crashes on exit and when the game tries to change screen resolution. This was very frequent until I set the desktop res at 1024*768 instead of 800*600. Now I only get extremely rare ingame crashes , and I can live with it - maybe they will go away when I'll update the video drivers.

P3 1GHz
256MB Ram
32MB GForce GC (1024 * 768 res)
CL Soundblaster Live SC
15" TFT monitor (way cool for civ3)

Runs fine on standard maps (cant remember ever trying huge) - turn time is perfectly ok. No crashes.

P4 1.7 (478 socket), with 512MB of DDR Sdram and a 1/2 assed Radeon 7200 video card.

Civ flies on it, even during the modern ages on a large or smaller map.

Works great, but found that when I play huge maps with 16 civs, get about a minute in between turns during the industrial era. I think I might add another 256MB of ram.

600 Mhz Celeron, 192 Megs of RAM, !6 Meg ATI AGP video card.

Runs fine on standard sized maps which are to my liking since I spend so much time managing my city production and workers. If I started playing on larger maps the AI would start complaining how long they have to wait for me.

-Tbird 1GHz,
-768MB Ram
-210GB Raid0-drives
-Geeforce2

All my latest games has been on huge maps with max players..
In my current game I have 250+ captured workers and more than 160 cities..
IT RUNS SOO INCREDIBLY SLOW!!
I'm talking minutes in turn-time and lots of load-time...

PII 400
512mb RAM
40 GB HDD
GeForce2 w/ 64MB Video ram
Soundblaster Live!
Windows 2000
res at 1280x1024

Game runs smooth. No crashes. The changing of resolution bugs me to no end... Thank goodness for that keepres command ;)

Always plays game on huge map with 16 civ. Game only bogs down when *EVERYBODY* is at war all at the same time. That'll make the wait between turns to be about 30sec-1 min. Tolerable for my standards.

P4 2.2 Gig
512mb RAM
GeForce 2
Soundblaster Live
Windows XP
800 resolution

I just upraded the computer several months ago and CIV 3 is very fast.

PII 366 Celeron
No 3d card
96 mg RAM

All I have played is large map with no more than 8 to 9 civs max, the game is too tedious with maps larger than that and it runs fine on my machine
