What could be a Japanese wonder?

The Tori gate would be the perfect Shrine to go with the Shinto Religion Mod. Perhaps a whole Temple, Monestary, Cathedral set could be made from varous Japanese buildings/locations.

Heres another one that I remember someone else also recomended at one point

I think there are all good possible Buildings listed I now.
So I concerned about, what the japanese Civilization points out and characterises. And this may be could be the special way of spiritualize ordinary activities used for mental concentration and the special world outlook.
As some wonders are no buildings but great intellectual achievements, this could be represented in the famous tea ceremony.

I made "The sacred Torii Gate at Miyajima Island" as a wonder back in January. It attracts units for the civ that builds it like the old Status of Zues did in Civ 3. I never made an artwork for it though so if someone does new art now that would be great.

I never played Civ3 please elaborate on this "attracts units" effect.

It means that every X turns, you recieved Unit A-for free. So, in the case of The Statue of Zuess, you got a free Ancient Cavalry unit every 5 turns. Very useful Wonder for Warmongers, but not much use for builders ;).

Ah thats what I thought it was (I couldn't find any reference to this in Civ3 was it in an expantion pack?) I was planing this same thing for the TerraCota Army wonder inspired by the one is Rise of Nations (similar effect), I just finished some code that dose this spawn a free unit every X turn but in my version I just generate whatever the city would otherwise conscript so as your tech advances the unit will improve. I could allow the user to specify a specific UnitClass to over-ride the default conscript though.

That sounds like a great use for the TerraCota wonder. I saw the TerraCota statues back in 1988 and it was very impressive. They were still digging them up by the dozen at the time.

Your way is a very elegant solution to what unit to build. My was was much more cumbersome but provides for some variability. I choose randomly among the possible units of the era that the civ can create. So, as you discover techs that enable units they get added to the list and when you advance to a new era and discover your first unit-enabling tech the old units get removed from the list.
The only thing I've wanted to change is that the random units are by unit type and not by unit class. So, for example, a Japanese player could get macemen instead of the Japanese replacement for macemen, Samurai.

How about...Nintendo HQ ?

Or something general of the "Video Game Console".

Hehehehehe.

金閣寺 - Golden Pavilion Temple (Kyoto)
厳島神社 - Itsukushima Shrine - Torii (Hiroshima)
姫路城 - Himeji Castle (Himeji)

I agree with Ranbir, if Hollywood and Broadway can be a wonder, video games are now just as big of an industry - or perhaps just 秋葉原 (Akihabara) to represent electronic goods, which Japan heavily exported since the 70s.
