What could I have done better.

Well, I'm obviously destroying my enemy, but I'm just wondering what I could have done better, since this is on Cheiftain, and I'd like to move up. I didn't get Oil until late, so I couldn't build planes or tanks... I figure in higher levels I'll probably get destroyed. Also, I STILL don't have Iron.

By the way, I used ~35 Nukes <_<

A save from around 10AD or even by 1000AD would be more useful. By 2173 there is no way to know what was going on in the early stages.

What is the map size? If it was more than Large, back down to std maps to get a better feel for the game.

you do have iron now - you have rails.

Iron is pretty important - it's worth early wars. Probably what you can do more of is war earlier. Remember - the AI will build lots and lots of defensive units, so even if the AI shows up as even or strong compared to you, some 60-70% of their units are spears/pikes/etc which will just sit in their cities. And if they don't have much money, they can't upgrade them - so even if they have 1 rifle, they rest may be pikes or spears.

I don't have Iron, I was trading for it.

Yeah, you do...now anyway. :) I didn't open your file with the game, but I opened it with CAII, and it says China has 3 sources of iron.

If you can't see them (may be hidden underneath your cities), try pressing control-shift-M. That will temporarily remove all the cities and units, leaving only a clean map with the terrain and resources so that you can see "underneath" where the cities are. To see your cities and improvements again, press control-shift-M again...it's just a toggle switch. :)

Probably the biggest problem is not warring early to get resources. if you don't have iron, someone else does, and you may have to beat them up to get it ;)

That's all well and good, and I tried that on the game I'm on, but I got beat up pretty bad. Probably because I built too many workers and settlers, and no attack or defense units? <_<

I doubt that anyone lost a game by making too many workers and settlers. Many games have been lost by not making enough of them though. It is more likely you lost by not usintg them wisely.

Lack of attackers can be an issue, defenders less so, especially below DG. Try putting up a game after the first 100 turns.
