Hello all

I have just signed up for this forum and this is my first post :)

I played a lot of civ 1 and civ 2 back in the days and i have played civ 4 regularly since it came out, but it is first in the last 2 months that i have read articles on this forum and played it more "seriously" and trying to improve my game. i only play at monarch atm, but hope to be a emporer soon :king:

I have have a couple of questions i hope you would answer for me.

How is your game confiqured most of the times?

Map?

Map size?

Victory conditions?

How many Players?

Shoreline?

Climate?

Sea Level?

And are their some of the options such as "no babarians" you turn off before a game?

I know it is very general question, but i hope it can be answered :)

I have been playing civ ever since the original and generally I enjoy quick easy games. I have just started to step up my game by challenging myself on harder levels and different goals. This webstie has helped me out a lot. I ALWAYS turn off diplomatic victory. Admittedly diplomacy is a weak point for me. I usually play small or tiny normal or fast games on noble. As I have moved up to prince and monarch I have found moving the speed to epic or marathon help. I usually keep everything else standard fractal, random, mild climates. I enjoy playing big maps but don't have the patience to finish them most of the time. I will say that I do like adding opponets or raising the sea level to give less land and earlier wars.
