After seen the battle royal, i will configure for my first game this way :

- Lock of conditions of victory except domination and culture
- 8 AI
- 4 CS
- large continents map
- higher map

In fact, i hope like thisd the AI will prone to go to war and make culture, avoid to send too much religious units

And you, will you make any settings change ?

I'm planning to just accept vanilla settings assuming these to be continents at standard size, default number of civs/CS and whatever is the 'average' difficulty (i.e. no bonuses).
Will also be the first time I intend to play a randomly selected civ as they all look fun to play.

- Continents large
- More AI than default (say 14 instead of 10)
- All victory conditions
- Emperor difficulty (King was braindead according to battle royal)
- Random civ, always random

I don't believe that the AI knows when a certain type of victory is turned off, so I think you will not get what you are looking for. The AI will still pursue science and religious victory but will just not be able to win that way, while you will know that you can't win that way will have an easier time.

There might be an aggressive setting that will make them more warlike but I'm not sure.

I'm planning on a fairly vanilla continents map, normal sized and however many AI and CS that are recommended to go with that standard set up. After a few games I'll see what, if anything, that I want to tweak.

My first game:
- huge map - because that is how I play
- marathon speed - because that is how I play
- about 5 AI to have space to test stuff.
- religious victory off for obvious reasons. I hope AI will not spam apostles.
- emperor difficulty - we start a little easier.

This should take a few days :)

Since I doubt my machine will run the game well, I'll stick to standard map with 8 AI. Epic speed it will be. Map type and civs will be random. King difficulty.

Playing as Japan
8 civs
4 city states
standard continents map
no goody huts
King difficulty

Everything at default. Emperor difficulty. Not sure about the civ yet.

Random everything. Haven't decided on difficulty level yet. Torn between starting on 1 and working my way up or 6(?) and working my way down. May flip a coin.

America - to get as "vanilla" a Civ as possible
Continents
Standard size
Standard CS numbers
Standard terrain, weather, etc. (if there are options to configure)
Prince - to see what "normal" looks like and leave myself some room for error/adjustment
Random Opponents
All conditions enabled - If things go a little too "Battle Royale", will restart and flip it to remove science and religion conditions

Aiming to not replay any turns and take the first start I get given - no matter how bad it looks - the theory is that any start should be playable and should encourage a different strategy and choice of victory path.

Civ: Still can't make up my mind, possibly random (but won't accept Aztecs, America, or Japan); Leaning towards Germany, Russia, France, Spain, England, or Egypt
Map: Largest possible, continents, low water
Difficulty: Prince or Emperor
Opponents: As many as possible
Other: all victory conditions either totally off or all on; no goody huts; marathon speed

Anyone else keep trying to start the game early jic?

I'm going to try and hack into Abraxis' computer and take control over one of the AIs, then nuke the hell out of him.

Since I don't want a long game first:

- level: King
- small map
- continents
- everything else standard, normal (and civ and css as game sets it)
- my civ: Rome, plan is to conquer own continent and get science victory

Civ: Russia
players: 12
size: Huge
map type: earth
difficulty: emperor
game speed: marathon
Victory type: culture
Game plan: First build up a strong economy and expand to 4-5 cities. Found a religion by building holy sites early. Then bully civs and city states around me whenever i feel time is right. I will try to get a good ally to trade with and keep him happy.

Default settings, normal speed for first game (epic as default for later single player), 12 players, Continents (or most preferably Hemispheres if that's an option), and at least Emperor difficulty from the get go.

Civilisation will be Greeks (Pericles), Congo or India.

NB! I also have a dream to play 12 player Hemispheres in multiplayer again, like I loved to in Civ4. I have a dream Firaxis is making multiplayer great again!

Civ: Sumer
players: max
size: huge
Map type: earth
difficulty: king
game speed: standard

Want to see how epic this can get from the get go

From watching the stream (and being rather concerned by it and by Marzorbir's playthroughs) I will start,

Large,
Continents Large or Pangaea,
Emperor
Standard Speed
High Resources (so the AI gets enough strat resources) if an option
Maybe 1 additional Civ for added competition for space that might encourage wars.

Will probably leave all VCs active but if it doesn't "work" right I'll disable a few to encourage domination. But then I fear it'll be too easy to turtle and win culture....

I usually find in CiV anyway at least that it works better on larger maps with more players.

Duel map with Scythia and a low difficulty setting. I want to explore the new stuff in peace and conquer my only neighbor once I get bored.

Civ England (it's my tradition)
Difficulty: king
The new island map is it island plates?
8civs
Standard time

I will go straight to the multiplayer to avoid the encounter with the Moderator Action: <snip> AI. I just cannot stand it.
