The title says it all - tell us.

I'm hoping someone'll eventually pick up the Master of Magic. For some reason, absolutely love it. Or loved it; that's in the ancient past. :o Hmmm, maybe will play one more time when get home. Paladins are absolutely invincible, except for that nature's crack spell.

Also the KOEI games like Romance of the Three Kingdoms and the others. There're newer ver on consoles perhaps but I want for the PC. :yeah:

Also Transport Tycoon. Very addictive too. :)

I would say:
Nobunaga's Ambition
Genghis Khan
Romance of the Three Kindoms

The great thing is that they could all use the same engine but change the graphics and text and you can sell the game as a new one. ;)

I want the province version of ROTK not the city version.

From what I've read, Transport Tycoon is going to be remade; it's just a matter ot time. It has not been started yet, BTW.

:)

Most important game for a remake: Master of Magic
I love that game! Civ with magic, heroes and an udnerworld. just add tech research and it would be the perfect game :goodjob:

Number 2 would be Rings of Power
Old Genesis game, had a lot of potential and depth but the slow genesis made it sometimes painful to play

And last but not least: Warsong 2 aka Der Langrisser
Was released for Genesis as Warsong 2 and later as Der Langrisser on teh SNES, sadly only in Japan (there is/was a translation project). It had about 7 different endings divided into good/neutral/evil and several storylines, about 50 battles and a hero who could be anything from swordman to flying knight to wizard and the charactersystem from warsong that i like so much :goodjob:

Civ 2(I'm serious)
CastleVania
Punch Out
Missile Command
anything with the Lone Ranger

I wanted to say that too but the 2 recent castlevania games (Symphony of the night / moon for PSX and GBA) IMO more than qualify for a very good remake ;)

#1 - Berzerker. In 2D. they could do MUCH more with those electrified walls and eville Otto this time around.

#2 - Castle Wolfenstein 1D (I'm serious, too - I still remember people jumping or squirming in terror at the sight of the SS guys whilst they played it on their Apple IIe's in the mid-1980s - the remakes do NOT do it justice).

Several, these are most important:

Master of Magic
Transport Tycoon (but only if Chris Sawyer comes back again)
Original Lemmings (NOT 3D!!)
SimEarth
One Must Fall 2097

:D

All the fantastic Microprose and Cinemaware games I played on my Amiga! :)
--- immense sensations of nostalgy here ---

Particularly: It came from the Desert, It came from the Desert II and Wings from Cinemaware and MicroProse's Civ... wait! Oh, just forget about that one, Knights of the Sky and the Art of War series, Railroad Tycoon, etc. etc. etc.

There are just too many to list. Any of you remember Sensible Software? They made some really nice games too.

Happily enough, Cinemaware has already been reborn and also making NEW games! http://www.cinemaware.com/

After I've been sitting here at work for 30 min without doing anything and just thinking (boring like ever) I came across a game I want to see a remake for:

UFO - Enemy Unknown

Not that cheap Terror from the Deep or Apocalypse but the original :)

Transport Tycoon (but only if Chris Sawyer comes back again)
Chris has said he will, if TT is not done again, or is done again and done badly. :D

But he has not said just when. It might be awhile....

Civ 2(I'm serious)
...
Missile Command
I agree with Civ 2!!! :)

Didn't Missile command get remade a year or two ago? I seem to remember seeing it on someone's computer, and it looked like it had new (non-classic) functions.

Oh, definitely Pirates is one of the best MicroProse games ever! How could I forget it? I even have it... or had it, I think I lent it to somebody when I was in high school. Haven't seen it since that :(

Or, if miracles do happen, could it be at my parents' place..?

This was my 100th post. Wee.

1. X-Com UFO Defense
This game is one of the best. Update the graphics, toss in some more human weapons, and develop the countries and funding a bit more and that would be enough. There is a lot more they could do, but they failed misserably in both of the sequels. Why do some sequels always have to continue the storyline. Just redo the original and we don't have to worry about diving suits and only one city and crap like that.

2. Pirates
I have yet to find a game that came even close. There is a lot that could be done to improve in a remake, but making the sailing more realistic isn't it. It was fine how it was, and making it more complex just takes away from the game. One feature they should add though is multiple ship fights.

3. The Ancient Art of War
I'd take this one as is, and if anyone knows where I can get it say so. (Also let me know what I need in the way of an emulator, or slowdown, or whatnot). If anyone remakes this there is room for expansion with different units and terrains and stuff, but they should include the original (with updated graphics) in case they screw it up.

i think they need even a newer donkey kong game.
galaga.
civ3 is gettin old
gta3
thps3

Jagged Alliance. JA2 was a blast, but with better graphics and gameplay, JA3 could be huge.

EMPIRE EMPIRE EMPIRE EMPIRE EMPIRE EMPIRE EMPIRE EMPIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

best game ever - the original civ

A while ago I played a game on the Amiga called Spike in Transylvania. I thought that game was a bit of fun. I remember one line from it: 'Farmer Boyle says he be absoultley STARVIN' I remember the game was very short though and the graphics were terrible. Does anyone think that the older games were better because the developers spent more time making the gameplay good to make up for the poor visuals?

remake syphon filter and make it for the PC.
i always like to shoot those terrorists in level 1 just trying to jump over the wall while you shoot a grenade at them.
"go go go!"
aaaarrrggghh!
