What is the bottleneck here?

I've been playing Civ 4 multiplayer with my Sister. On my PC it runs very smoothly. On her PC the graphics are a bit slow and jerky. I thought that since my PC is the host it might be a networking issue (even though we are on a LAN). However, I started a single player game and even at the start it was a bit slow. The specs of here PC are:

1 Gig RAM
Athlon XP 2100+
Geforce Ti 5200
Audigy 2 ZS

I'm hoping it's the video card since it would be the simplest and cheapest to replace. It's definetly not a Windows problem since the OS was reinstalled recently. The video card drivers are a recent version which I suppose could be a problem since they wouldn't be the ones optimised for the card.

I would agree with your conclusion about the video card. I guess the only way to find out is to test a new card in her machine or try using the 5200 in your machine. I had the FX5200 and it simply wasn't up to it.
