I have been reading a lot of the HOF games and various articles that keep saying how important ToA is to the game. What does ToA mean?

Also, I once saw an article that listed all of the most common abbreviations in Civ but I can't find it now. Does anyone know where that article is found?

Temple of Artemis, a ancient age GW available with Polytheism.Gives free temple in every city on continent, obsolete with Education.Nice for early domination victories.

Aye. ToA is the most important wonder in RoR, arguably even stronger than Bacchanalia (and far more useful, since Bacchanalia comes fairly late).

ToA isn't all that useful in the Epic game. Once the temples go away....

Depends on what victory condition you target. If you're going for a fast domination and you play it right, the temples will never go away... ;)

I've also seen players shut off research before Education and plant a bunch of cities in order to get a 100K culture victory. It's also a good one if you're going for a 20K culture victory.
