Gil Favor's Sidekick
Since this seems to be such a hot topic of late, I just thought I would facilitate some discussion of the favorite buttons you have seen or would like to see in your Civ3 games.
Here are a few of my favorites:
- This is the button you push when you want all those lazy good for nothin' automated workers who have gone on a smoke break in you cities to get their butts in gear automatically and either join to a city or go off an plant forests somewhere useful.
- This is the button you push when you have the game so blasted screwed up that their appears to be no possible way of winning and then all your workers and other units will just automatically run to the nearest AI cities and blow themselves up taking half the population of the cities with them. If your game is already well into the modern age and someone has built the United Nations then pushing this button will automatically cause every AI civ who has broken an agreement in the game to begin paying you gold per turn and 50% of your cities will randomly produce another worker everyother turn so that these workers can run towards enemy units or cities and blow themselves up as well.
- this button automatically causes the chosen worker to run to the nearest city and micromanage production so that no shields, food, or gold are ever wasted since he can do a better job than the governor. This button can save lots of time and make the game really fun because all you have to do is run around and whack the enemy units with your units because now you will know that everything elese in the game is taken care of. ALl you have to do is memorize that you need one worker per city and assign him to this special automated task and then you're on cruise control.
- This is the button you push whenever a settler unit is standing on a mountain top so that he can see 10 squares further in any direction and have a momentary vision of any hidden strategic resources that may be in that area. The AI uses this button all the time.
