This, is, weird. Very, weird. Anyway. I attacked an a Zulu Impi, who my immortal defeated, moved an immortal towards Bapedi (Their new capital after I took Zimbabwe). Now, then I attacked Bapedi, defneded ny a lone pikeman, with three immortals. All of them lost, yet after the third one lost the cith ad an army.

Here's proof. I don't have a .zip program, sorry, so a .sav will have to work.

Move the guy circled in red on as indicitated to attack the impi. Then move the guy circled in blue towards the city to see it after the attack.

The guys circled in green, use them to attack. Weird, seriously. You may have to zoom to where they are though first.

I didn't manage to kill the pikeman in Bapedi but once you drop the hp of the pikeman the army will show up as a defender. It looks to me that the Army is there all the time. It won't show up as a defender as a Pikeman with 4 hp is consider to be a better defender than the regular Impi army with 6hp. :)

I don't see what the problem is. The city has 1 pikeman, 5 impi (not sure how many are in the army), and an army in the city. I think the game displays the pikeman on top because it has the highest defense factor.

I think you need more attackers, or catapults to wear them down.

I think I need your multitool, actually. Thanks. I'm not even going to bother with catapults though. Too low of an attack to worry about. And I'm running my max for units ever since egypt captured some of my cities.

I think you will annihilate them eventually. It will just take a little longer than it looked.

Yeah, unless the Queen of Egypt decides to invade me again.

Anyway, I'm not sure about killing off the Zulu, at least, singlehandedly. Egypt's on the war party against them now since I coaxed them into signing a military alliance against them, and I can't pull egypt back and make them sign peace with the Zulu. I got into a rather bad habit in warlord, of, in a war, pulling everyone else into it.

Regent game 4, mistake #3(?) learned? Habit broken? Who knows. I am glad I stepped up though. I am learning a lot more about how to actually play the game now.

Anyway, thanks. I feel like such an idiot though. I guess the fact that, on the defensive, the AI seems to promote every other time his defending unit wins threw me off (I was thinking "OH now, this elite pikeman is going to make a leader", and then the army showed up).
