ok, what is an "mp" game? is it a mod? I have played before against both Rome and England. The gameplay is fine. I just downloaded the patch yesterday, but my other game was fine. I started this game after I went on to play multiplayer online, but then I decided I'd want to get better at singleplayer first, and quit out of multiplayer when I got to the lobby. I'll post some screenshots and the savefile.

MP is multiplayer and it seems that your XML files are messed up. Im gonna have to look it up but make a backup of all your xml files for civ 4 and then start poking around and see if you can find anything.
