What to do with the Huns?

Nevertheless, ranged weapons were the most effective defences mounted against siege weapons, including rams and including later, medieval rams with roofs protecting the runners, not just shields that are effective only until the first runner falls. The problem for attackers is the length of exposure to arrow fire as they attack, combined with their slow speed relative to unencumbered troops.

of course, a spearmen unit could walk up and 'poke' them as they stand there holding the log.

One interesting technicality with the Huns that I realized is:

When you play as the Huns, even if you're isolated by yourself on a seperate continent, you can still figure out which other civs are in the game just by founding cities. I.E., If your second city is Denver, then you know that the Americans are somewhere out there.

Not that this has a major impact on gameplay, but it does take away from some of the fun of exploration and discovery (for those of us who are into that).

That depends on whether they take it from civs in the game or all civs. But I did have that thought before.

I have a feeling that it is from those that are active in the game, rather than from the full list; I am not likely to play as Attila, so I am not too worried, but it does spoil the discovery a bit.
