What was going on?

I had no iron or bronze again (ughhhh) sucks especialy when you are romans. I had to then go and purchase it from someone and it was EXPENSIVE! Then I get in trouble for trading with teh AI.. so I tried to cancel. Nope...
I can cancel everything but deals where you pay cash. I just can't figure it out, everything else cancels when im trading resource for resource, but gold per turn for a resource, just doesn't want to cancel?

I remember civ III had a 20 turn agreement, but in this game I was stuck till the bitter end!!

you shouldn't be stuck any more then 10 turns,

and I think you need the Iron more so if the other AI get all horsehockey tell them to piss off as you need it, if they have it then go for it, but for why it wouldn't stop I don't know maybe you could see if taking you money into the neg for a turn ends it
