I'm trying to make some new butons in photoshop (I have plugin for dds files), but when I save it, it has no transparency in game.. what option in dds save dialog should I enable to make buttons show properly (transparent edges) in game?
Civ4 requires that DDS files are saved using DXT3 compression. The best way (probably) to get new DSS images into the game is to first create your image using Photoshop or GIMP(what I use), save it as a bitmap or jpeg, then use a DDS converter utility to create the DDS. Be sure to set your alpha layer (which is what is replaced by the game) using the program before you convert it.
