I'm curious about what religion is the best for research. This is considering straight bonuses, buildings, and wonders into account.

Get as many religions as you can, with free religion you build monasteries which gives +5/10% science bonus. If you play as religion fanatic and want only one religion for science rush than andeanism is best for research.

Andeanism and Baha'i are the only religions where the Temple has gives a :science: boost, I think - Temples don't obsolete, and the respective cathedral gives a :science: bonus as well. Although Baha'i is Industrial IIRC, so Andeanism gives you these boni a lot earlier.

I believe that there are many religions that give :science: as a bonus for converting to them. Buddhism and Sikhism are the ones that come to mind. Confucianism gives a world wonder that gives +5% to :science: to all cites that are built and does not seem to obsolesce and Hellenism gives you the Pantheon, which gives +1:science: to all cites, although it obsolesces in the Renaissance. The Shrine of Bab also gives the same effect. The best ones don't obsolesce or not for a long time, so it would be helpful to compile a list of the ones that meet these criteria.
