Whats your favorite unit in the whole game

Panzers!

...but that's mostly because i enjoy WW2 history, especialy about the german army. from a usefulness stand point, i would say swordsmen, because they dominate the ancient era!

In a word... BERSERKS!

Their +6 attack isn't rivaled until Cavalry. But aside from the attack value, they are just plain cool-looking when they start wielding that axe.

But for pure cost/benefit purposes, I would have to say the Carthagenian Numidean Mercenary (2/3/1) is a superb unit.

well i havent played with many UU yet but so far my favourite is Immortals. Very powerful and fairly cheap to make.

I easily conqured about 10 russian cites with about 20-25 immortals.

war elephant is the only unit i actually enjoy beign atatcked by (unless it on monach...), they just look fantastic!
in terms of use, i go for nukes (only in world war when rep doesnt matter, fight to the end stuff) or tank.
with a tank if you have a small tech lead, have all your cities makign these as soon as theres available then if you can attack the enemy with only infantry, the few tanks they woukld have will not stnd a chnace and you can quickly conquer a civ, then settle down to mass produce them ready for modern warfare with MAs.
