There was never a projected date.thestonesfan said:Is the projected date still December of '05?

warpstorm said:The ideal date for maximum sales is timed so that it is on the store shelves on the day after Thanksgiving. In the USA, this is the biggest shopping day of the year and some people will walk by it in Wal-Mart while looking for Christmas gifts and think "Little Johnny has always been a history buff and a bit of a megalomaniac, maybe he'd like this here Civ 4 game". At least that's what the marketing guys tell me.
I meant Fall 05 is the most likely release, not actually December.Sirian said:How would you know?
Even if that were the date they intended (and releasing a game in time for the Christmas season is always desirable from a marketing standpoint, but wouldn't that make November or October even better?), there's a lot of time between now and then. Unless they have Civ4 finished and waiting for a certain date, then there's still work to do and could always be delays.
Having this forum to offer suggestions seems reasonable, since if anybody is paying attention, now would be the time to get their attention. However, talk of release dates seems like spitting into the wind, to me. Why bother?![]()
