Where is the game putting the 1.74 files.

The game was working fine then i installed software for a new mp3. Which required me to install windows media 10. I then installed a mod. the game would not play so i uninstalled all 3.
I tried to uninstall from add/remove programs but it wouldnt work. So i deleted the civ folder under programs and the civ folder under mygames. Still wont install because of the 1.74 patch. Looked at the hidden files in the common files folder but there is no
CFBCE791-2D53-4FCE-B3BF-D6E01F4112E8 file there. Did a search for hidden files but no CFBCE791-2D53-4FCE-B3BF-D6E01F4112E8 file located. Deleted the registry entrys for Firaxis but the game still insists i have patch 1.74.

The game still says it cant install because i have 1.74. Tried reinstalling the patch to see where it may be putting the files but it wont install because it needs the original civ 4. But the orginal wont install because it thinks i have the patch.
Yet it puts a entry back into the registry.

Where is the 1.74 patch that the game thinks i have and dont have?

Btw its XP SP1.

Never mind i found the answer.
It was under S-1-5-21-57989841-1606980848-839522115-1004 in the HKEY_Users\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ registry.

I also deleted keys from
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
but those contained a different name instead of CFBCE791-2D53-4FCE-B3FB-D6E01F4112E8. but it had Civ 4 in it so i deleted it.
Anyways it worked.
