I have at times gotten the ini trick to work and other times not. I no longer worry as I use Alcohol120 and do not mount my CD's any longer. That way I not only do not have to locate them, but I do not have to worry about them breaking.
Most of them I have more than one copy anyway, even my old Moo1 I have two CD's and manuals and so forth.
