OMG you said you know a lot about history? First off there are like 10 threads already on this issue and every time it just goes around and around and around.

Beginning: "Well if Stalin and Mao got in why not Hitler?",
response: "Cause he killed millions of his own people"
Rebuttal: "But you can't deny his effect on history, and besides he killed fewer then Stalin and Mao."
response: "Well Hitler left his country is worse shape then when he got it and he already rigged the economy to collapse had he not gone to war."
Counter response: "Your just ignorant, he took on the world and almost won."

Also starting off a thread by saying "I'm not racist I have a friend that is Jewish but those six million Jews would have created pollution." isn't a great lead in. Comments like that are going to get you labeled things like Nazi, or ******.

What you said was that Hitler did the world a favor by eliminating 6 million jews because jews are hated by the world. You went on to say that the holocaust was a positive thing because it lessened the impact of a future potential WW3. How is justifying the attempted extermination of a race not a racist way of thinking?

Just because you keep repeating that you are not racist does not make it true.

Perhaps if you could just show us this jewish friend of yours we could ask him. But then, I am not sure I would recognize him as jewish. Why dont you tattoo some identifying mark on his arm or something so that I can be sure he is jewish. I dont know, make it a tattoo of an id # or the star of david or something similar. Then we will leave you alone.

Just for the sake of commenting on the thread, I myself would not mind if Hitler was in the game. He was history after all, and whether or not he was born of hatred and evil, doesn't mean he should be forgotten. I also understand many people are still recovering mentally from his terror, and i'm sure many will never recover. So yes, I have no problem with him not being in the game, as you should.

I like history myself, and anytime I need to be reminded of Hitler's Charisma that coerced so many Germans into a World War, I'll watch a few flicks. Every watch the Shawshank Redemption or any holocaust film?

I don't think that psycho should be in. Why should we honor him with being put in the game? Nobody in the right mind would play as him anyway. The only thing I wanted him for was for the WWII scenario, and that has "Von Papen" in it. Whatever, it isn't a big deal. Hitler was an idiot, not to mension the holocaust.
I have news for you:

first off im an american history geek. and second with out hitler,and yet again IM NOT RACIST, think about the jewish population. its still relitivly large, even after the holocaust and wars between them and their neighbors. Hitler killed relitivly 6 million jews. now imagine if he haddent. that would 6 million more people plus their kids adding tension, pollution, and, for whatever reason, jews are one of the most hated races ( IM NOT RACIST). If we had a lot more of them then the chances of say, WWIII, would be significantly enhanced. so hitler was a major major major MAJOR part in history, and since he started WWII, i think he should have been in the game.

I *am* Jewish, and I personally would love for Hitler to be in the game, if only because it would eliminate any questions about who my first target would be, and would likewise eliminate the raze/keep question.

However, a LOT of people are still very sensitive to the issue -- and I'd bet it's more Germans than Jews who would get upset about it. Including him wouldn't glorify him or say he wasn't so bad (there are plenty of Monsters of History in the game, after all, but the presence of Mao and Stalin is not exactly arguing for communism), but it would remind people of his existence. I totally understand the decision not to include him.

That said: Yep, the OP is a racist jerk. Making people like him upset is perhaps another good reason for excluding Hitler from the game.
