I'm going to try for the Spice Road Achievement first. Probably with new France, maybe Arabia (though isn't Arabia one of the Civs you have to connect to?).

Right on! So that makes two of us. :)

Noice - we're in the cool kids club then.
I figure I'll explore the archaeology system late in the game by digging up ruins of enemy cities and commemorating victorious battle locations.
I can have small role-playing moments. I am intrigued by the concept of the archaeology system's ability to tie in past skirmishes from your game. More than anything else that might make the end-game more interesting for me.

They can easily meet all the other civs first, which means they get to build the world congress first if they do. I think anyways.

You still need Printing Press. And you don't get to 'build' World Congress. You become the host of the First World Congress and get an extra delegate vote.

Random! (reroll if I get Germany because they are lame)
Yeah... personally I'd have preferred if they focused more on post-industrial Germany than ancient-era Germany and grabbed them a UA that grants them easier/better Great Engineers or something; perhaps even a unique factory that grants additional land/air unit experience.

For my own first personal BNW game, I think I will take Arabia.
I want to created some sort the Premiere Holy City destination of World Religion. I will definitely take the belief that generated Tourism from Faith buildings. I will try to aim for a Culture VC with a religion base.

I'm constantly changing my opinion. I think I'll just pick random and reroll until I get one fo the new civs or France.

France! I'm really interested in the culture game and I want to know how they will play with the changes.

My first game with a totally new Civ will be Morocco, followed either by Indonesia or Venice. I'm less interested in the others but I'll get to them all eventually.

I’m going for a Zulu Impi rush :high5:
A militaristic conquest game is probably best until I figure out exactly how culture, tourism and diplomacy now work

Maybe Byzantium. Build the world's most powerful religion using the new piety, crusade the nonbelievers, and then force it to be the world religion using the WC.

I will play Scramble for Africa with Belgium,Boers and Egypt,After this i will play with Poland or Morocco, and After I will play with France *--*

Shoshone seem OP as hell. Great at early game snowballing advantage for late game dominance.

Morocco looks like it will replace Arabia as the OP desert civ (Petra + UB = 6 production desert hills!!!)

I'm going with the Shoshone because they will provide a good but unspecialized foundation for the later game that will allow me to learn all the new systems.

First will be France, against the new civs. Either on Earth or Small Continents map. Second will be Portugal.

What is so great about Polynesia?

Maoi.

There is going to be a lot less culture in the early game now that culture buildings beyond the Monument only have 1 base culture, and Maoi can provide a lot of culture. And they provide tourism in the late game.

Wanna try culture first and I like UIs. Morocco and France are possible but Brazil will probably take the cake. Looking forawrd to that jungle. However I seem to have accidentally voted for Poland.
