Which exapansion packs and mods?

Enjoying Civ3.
I have the vanilla Civ 3 patched to 1.29.
I keep seeing refernces to expansion packs (Conquests?) and mods, but would appreciatte your recommendations on which to acquire and install.
Obviously I would like something that is robust and ads to the game.

get Conquest and then go to the Completed Mods section and go to the Modpack Library. Check out the mods that are recommended. but i say try out Rhye's of Civilization Expanded, Rise and Rule, Master of Myrro(spell?), and Warhammer Mod.

For expansions, just get Conquests. It has the PTW core with it, so after you install, you will have Civ3, PTW, and Conquests. But you will probably only play Conquests, anyway.

I don't play mods much, myself, but I hear good things about Rhye's, and Rise & Rule (the Conquests verion of DYP, IIRC).
