A lot of people really hated the unlimited railroad movement feature of the previous Civ's, but I kinda liked it. ;)

Anyone out there tinkered at all with increasing the value from 10 tiles? Or making it unlimited?

It's contained in /assets/xml/misc/CIV4RouteInfos.xml. Making it unlimmited is probably impossible, unless you put in a ridiculously high number. So, now that you know where it is, why don't you try it out and let us know how it balances? I would have caught this earlier, but you posted a couple of minutes after I left earlier.

I don't think having a limit on it is really a bad idea... what I would really like is if it was relative to the size of the map.

Because on a small map, 10 MP it's just fine. On a huge map however.... not so much hehe

I also wish for the same thing to be done with ships as well... I think they should get more MP on large maps and less on small ones. I mean 8 years to move troops in the Industrial era? Surely not...

Hopefully I'll get a chance to test that today. I'll post my results as soon as I've tested it.

An interesting note - if Nukes have a value of 99 and can travel anywhere on the map, then maybe 99 is the 'infinite' value.
