Which is a better rival to BE, Endless Legend or Warlock 2?

Endless Legend without a doubt.
I did like Warlock 2 (especially little things like the "core cities and outposts" mechanic and the way that you could actually take a zero HP city with a ranged unit which somehow Civ 5 never figured out how to do) but the AI opponents are utterly braindead, and multiplayer is locked to sequential turns only so you can't even play another human in a reasonable timeframe to get away from the bad AI.

Warlock 2 is fun and all but it's not a "rival" to anything. The AI is so stupid that it defies belief. The game can easily be won with a handful of units even on the hardest difficulty settings because of the fact that the AI doesn't understand how dispelling magic works. It's ridiculous. Endless Legend is far better.
