I am starting a new thread on this because it is important to all of us who are interested in getting the collector's edition of Civilization III ONLY IF IT IS RELEASE 2 WEEKS EARLIER as reported at Adrenaline Vault .
The problem is that when you actually go to see about ordering the damn thing it shows a release date of 10/16/01 just like the regular version of Civilization III. I looked at all sites that Civ3.com list that you can by Civ3 at and only 2 of them are currently offering the Collectors' or Limited Edition, EBgames and GameStop.

I don't want to spend and extra fifteen or twenty dollars just to get it on the same date as the regular edition but I am willing to fork out the extra money to get it 2 weeks earlier.
Can somebody who has contacts get a clarification on this release date?
