That is great news, for someone else I hope. I've already preordered on Steam because after turning in gift cards I had saved it only cost me about $0.75. Also, preordered because I'll be out of town starting on the 8th for a while and wanted to get at least a day or 2 of playtime in. Ended up going for Founders, again because of gift cards. It looks like GreenManGaming continues to offer 15% off all Civ 7 preorders (and potentially any other game not already on sale) with voucher FEB15
Not really. Tecumseh always belongs to deluxe and founders. Founders is sold until end of february. Deluxe is selling always as information today.not really nice. CD Keys.com didn't even advertise any preorder discounts at all same pricings as STEAM.

And i'm not really ready now (Just bought a new car for myself). Not buying preorder and I will never get Tecumseh![]()
I would prefer to know which components of both collections will be available for separate purchase. Some of them, such as the gilded fog of war tiles (I find the black ones quite elegant) and the Founders' palace (I prefer the palace to be in the civilization style), I would turn off anyway, so I have no intention of paying for them.have they revealed anything about the fog of war tileset? I'm not crazy about the fog of war look in general, so I'd love to know if the tile set is a major alteration or just different tiles
On the back end of the digital game stores, the founders content is split between a "cosmetic pack", and two separate personas. I presume the cosmetic pack will remain founders exclusive indefinitely, with the personas being available for purchase separately at some point.I would prefer to know which components of both collections will be available for separate purchase. thank you, good to know these are even uglier than the base tilesI would prefer to know which components of both collections will be available for separate purchase. I hope the palace and tiles can be toggled separately. The palace's very existence is offensive, but I like the gilt tiles.Apparently so, but separating these components on the back end of the digital game stores does not necessarily mean that they will be sold separately, but only that they can be turned on or off separately in the game settings. In addition, it was mentioned somewhere that some components of these collections will not be available for purchase separately (but which ones?).
It's important that the game tells you at every turn that you are currently playing civ 7! Otherwise you could forget that.I hope the palace and tiles can be toggled separately. The palace's very existence is offensive, but I like the gilt tiles.
I started with civ 1 and I enjoyed 5 a lot, not initially so much but it grew on me. I never got hooked the way I did with 2 or 4 but I played it a lot.Observation: satisfaction with Civ5 on release tends to be related to Civ5 being one's first Civ game. Those who joined the series with Civ5 enjoyed it, while those who played previous titles hated it. Personally, even with expansions I'd consider Civ5 the second worst game in the franchise, only above Civ3.
I hate Civ5's and Civ6's World Congress in more or less equal measure for different reasons;; last I played Civ6, I played with a mod to disable WC entirely. I vaguely remember being okay with Civ4's, but it's been too long for me to really remember why it didn't bother me the same way specifically.I remember disliking Congress and finding the resolutions silly.
I have to admit my memory of 4 is limited as well, i just remember playing the absolute hell out of it. I think they handled how the AI acts in a way i prefer as well.I hate Civ5's and Civ6's World Congress in more or less equal measure for different reasons;; last I played Civ6, I played with a mod to disable WC entirely. Hex tiles (as the best representation of spatial distance in strategy games) brought me to Civ 5. Civ games have different magnets that attract different players.I started with civ 1 and I enjoyed 5 a lot, not initially so much but it grew on me.
It was Civ5. They added it to Civ6 briefly then patched it out. I fully agree; I don't want the AI to metagame.I remember in 5 or 6 (i honestly cannot remember which) there was a modifier 'you are winning' that gave you constant negative diplomatic relations... i hated that because i didn't want to be reminded that i was playing a game.
Initially i wasnt a fan, because of traffic jams and because it made the AI less of a threat. ButHex tiles (as the best representation of spatial distance in strategy games) brought me to Civ 5. Civ games have different magnets that attract different players.
Initially i disliked 1upt that came with hexes, mostly because of the traffic jams and because the ai seemed so bad at fighting with 1upt. I totally get why people hated the giant stacks of doom howeverHex tiles (as the best representation of spatial distance in strategy games) brought me to Civ 5.
