I guess #3 is applicable. But a real Diva wouldn't admit to #1 or #2.

A human player would look at all the Buddhists around him, especially a warhound like Monty, and NOT choose the option to declare a holy war in retaliation to the other side prancing on the borders and yelling, "I fart in your general direction!"

I used to do that when I played Prince. Good times. Refusing all tribute is another human trait that many AIs don't share--you can usually beg something off 'em.
