Which patch do you prefer?

I haven't been playing CivIII much for a while -- I was distracted by Wizardry 8 and Paradise Island. So distracted, in fact, that the most recent patch I have handy is v.1.16.

My questions are as follows:

How many patches for Civilization III are out there? (We're up to, what, 1.21 now?)

Which is the "best" patch to use, in terms of gameplay/minimizing bugs? (Patches in CivIII seem to introduce major gameplay changes whenever they're released...)

1.21 I would say is best. The least recommend is if you just get 1.17(or something like that, it is the one with the 7 in it)

1.21 does not by any means rule, but it fixes the most bugs.
