Which Time area?

Which time area has the most resources? Is there an option to increase or decrease the resouces and Lux? Does the climate play a role as well? Throw me a tip please!!!

Age mainly determines the levels of mountains. The older the fewer. Wet means more jungles. AFAIK you can only increase the resource/lux via the editor.

I think younger maps(3 billion) tend to have more clusters of resources, and older ones(5 billion) are more evenly spread out. But the NUMBER of resources is the same on all maps of the same size and landmass.

I think the number of resources depends on the number of civs.
