Why am I not able to save my game?

The game won't autosave or let me manually save? I can click save but when i try to load back up there is no saved games? Any help would be appreciated.

Interesting, I actually can't load my save games, any of them.

It might be worth trying to run the game in administrator mode... I'm going to try that.

I haven't tried to load the game I saved at bedtime yet.

The game did crash on me twice though; once when I quit out of the benchmark game (crashed to desktop), and once after I saved to the game and tried to quit to desktop (froze, and I had to shut it down manually).

We'll see if I actually saved the game tonight after the kids go to bed.

My save games are working well. Although quicksave doesn't actually give any indication that it actually saved (but it does) that I can see. My main issue is the game takes ages to load on my computer.

Ah quick update: I set the civ exe to permanently run in administrator mode and now my game seems to load and save correctly, albeit only tested from the first turn.

Is it possible to save during Tutorial? I mean it seems much longer than in Civ 5 where there were several short ones.

I'm so used to using Ctrl-S to bring up the Save menu in Civ 5. I'm kind of annoyed that it doesn't work in Civ 6, and I have to click through all the menu options instead.
