Why are people so insulting of Music genres they dont enjoy?

I really dont understand why so many people are thick-headed enough to take one example of a genre and damn every other artist?

Seriously, if you dont like it, dont listen to it.. why do you have to jump to and down telling everyone how talentless it is, and how their music taste is crap?
 
Mainly because nearly every radio station, bar, club and music tv stations plays all the same crappy music all the time. Pop, rap and dance noise seems to be everywhere.

Also, there are radio stations for every genre of music.. just tune in another station!
 
Because a few people rule the genres and get the rest a bad reputation.

It's popular because the messages of some songs cater to teens. They listen to it because they are trying to rebel. The number of good songs may be more than the bad, but the bad ones are the ones that are the most popular.

I don't enjoy music genres that promote violence, burst your eardrums or kill your brain cells.
 
When it comes to music I say each to their own and let each other be.

To those who complain about music genres - why don't you stop moaning and go listen to stuff you actually like?:p
 
It is really quite simple. "THEY SUCK". Trying to objectively analyze something subjective is pointless. There is no solid answer no matter how many times you attempt it.

Where did i say you should try listening to it? I said if you dont enjoy it, DONT listen to it.

As for burst ear drums, and kill brain cells, eh? any music loud enough could do that..

No, im asking why you feel you have to tell me they suck, and that you feel superiour for thinking they suck....
 
I dunno, if you say perfer coke as a fissy drink... most people wont go around yelling 7up sucks!

seems only music have such strong tastes - and no quarms about telling everyone about it.
 
ah very true. Sports teams acutally compete, so saying a certain team sucks is actually based on something rather than pure opinion.
