... the same game again and again?

I am new to the forum but have played MOO I and II since their releases and CIV I and II, and I still enjoy playing them and other old strategy games on a regular basis. This has led me to wonder about why it is that some games can be played and replayed again and again. My wonder has been turned into the early stages of a master thesis and this is where you come into the picture!

In these early stages of the thesis I have made a survey that I need people to look at and hopefully complete for me. So if you feel like spending some minutes helping me greatly, you can answer the questions in the survey at the end of the link below. If you don't have the time to complete it in one go it can be done in more, since it saves your answers for later (as long as you re-access it from the same computer as you began completing it from).

Cheers in advance!

Kasper

PS. Should anyone have comments or suggestions for improvements to the survey or the thesis you are welcome to post them here:-)

Good luck, but not willing to go to any unknown site that is going to track my IP.

Hmm yeah I see your point, I'll go and have a look and see if I can disable that function... it should be possible. Hope you'll reconsider when I fix it...

That was a surprisingly interesting survey and I just spent... er, probably too much time answering it. Have you got a lot of responses yet?

He he well I'm glad to hear you found it interesting, and there's no such thing as spending to much time on it;-) I don't know which answer is yours, but I can see I got some really good answers yesterday, so thanks!
Not many people have answered the survey yet, however, but I'm still hoping to lure in a few more. For this kind of survey between 10 and 20 will be sufficient, so if you know of anyone who might be interested in doing the survey, please forward the link to them.

I'll probably do another survey in a couple of months, when I'm further into the thesis work, so if you're willing to help me again let me know:-) my email is: kape[AT]itu[dot]dk

cheers
Kasper
