Why is my hero limited to Level 10?

Hello, I've searched for the reason but haven't found one for why my Gilden Silveric can't get more than 100 experience.

In another game as Sheaim, my Rosier the Fallen got past 100 experience, but Silveric won't get more no matter how many baddies I slay with him.

Ok nevermind I think I've determined the reason. I was trying to farm exp off of the fire elementals that come from Acherons city, and I guess you can't go past lvl 10 that way. You have to fight actual enemies rather than barbs.

Yeah, normally barbs are limited to 100xp, although you can go around that by attaching great commander or casting valor.

The gradual XP they get via the Hero promotion (as well as mages and priests with their own mechanic) also stops at 100.

If you wish you can easily increase those limits by editing GlobalDefinesAlt.xml. I usually leave FREE_XP_MAX at 100 but change ANIMAL_MAX_XP_VALUE and BARBARIAN_MAX_XP_VALUE to 500.
