Are there just not that many multiplayer players out there?

Are people posting elsewhere?

About 50% of my games are now multiplayer. 99% (besides GOTM) are PTW. So, most of my forum comments are for PTW or multiplayer.

Is there a PTW-specific forum? If I wanted to comment on something like outposts, would I post to this forum?

If it's because you are having difficulty starting a multiplayer game or something, please post do a different thread. I'd rather not start a "multiplayer doesn't work" thread.

I've noticed that a lot of posts that technically should go in here end up on the 'General Discussions' board. You can take a look through there and find gobs of MP and PtW threads...

I think it's because of Gamespy, and PTW MP still being a bit buggy.

Yeah, Civ3 MP is still somewhat an almost reachable legend...

Once Firaxis has patched it up better (and they had better  ), I expect we'll see more activity level here. ;)

This forum is for multiplayer, not PTW, which I understand is a bit confusing. Non-multiplayer PTW discussions/questions go in the Civ3: General Discussions forum.

Howdy,

NewbRecruit Om checking in to show activity for "Multiplayer"

I think that as people learn about this communtiy and become familiar with your customs, you will find increased activity. I for one am kinda lost in here. I am looking to form some associations for play.

Good to be here...

Plus there's some traffic over at Apolyton, too.

Not taking into account those among us who are now playing Sims Online but would never admit it.

Other people. Not me, of course. Other people!

Could be that sales of PTW are less than mammoth perhaps? I would guess that only 1 in 10 of the people who bought Civ 3 would buy PTW, and probably half of those may never actually get around to playing MP. So it isn't surprising this forum isn't exactly humming. I reckon that eventually we will end up with a hardcore (maybe couple of hundred) of civvers who use this particular forum, purely as the basis for setting up MP games.
